South Asia Hub
CRISP: The Centre for Research on Innovation and Science Policy is a non-profit research organisation established in March 2004 to promote research in the area of innovation policy in relation to agriculture and rural development. The founding members of CRISP have been in the forefront of research on innovation policy internationally. This coalition of science policy researchers saw a need for a more holistic approach to innovation policy and CRISP was established mainly to promote policy relevant research on rural innovation. CRISP currently hosts the South Asia Rural Innovation Policy Studies Hub of LINK in its office in Hyderabad, India.
UNU-INRA: The United Nations University Institute for Natural Resources in Africa (UNU-INRA) was established in 1986 with a mission to support the building of African capacity by strengthening national institutions to promote sustainable use of the continent's natural resources for development. UNU-INRA’s research and training activities are targeted at ensuring that African scientists, technologists and institutions acquire capabilities to generate, adapt, and apply knowledge and technology to promote more efficient utilisation of natural resources for self-reliant development and thus contribute to eradicating rural poverty and improving food security. UNU-INRA currently hosts the West Africa hub of LINK in its Accra, Ghana office.
ACTS: ACTS is a Nairobi-based international intergovernmental science, technology and environmental policy think-tank that generates and disseminates new knowledge through policy analysis, capacity building and outreach. ACTS current hosts the East Africa hub of LINK at its Nairobi, Kenya office .
CONDESAN: Consorcio para el Desarrollo Sostenible de la Ecorregión Andina Condesan) was born in 1992 when CIP (International Potato Center) convened a group of scientists determined to find an effective mechanism through which to solve the closely related problems of rural poverty and natural resource abuse in the Andes. Condesan currently hosts the South America hub of LINK at its Lima, Peru office.
